Postpositions
In English, prepositions are words which show the relationship between two nouns. For example, the pen is on the table, or the milk is in the glass. In these examples, the words ‘on’ and ‘in’ are prepositions. The Hindi word for ‘preposition is पूर्वसर्ग (poorvsarg).
In Hindi, prepositions come after the nouns, so they are called postpositions. For example:
कलम मेज़ पर है। The pen is on the table
दूध गिलास में है। The milk is in the glass.
